Broccoli Cheddar Bake

A wonderful side vegetable dish that goes with many main course meats. Its a favorite at our home.

You can choose to use fresh broccoli florets or frozen broccoli florets (if using frozen, thaw first) you’ll need 12 ounces. 1/4 cup whole milk, 2 tablespoons lightly salted butter melted, 1 teaspoon corn starch, 2 cups shredded aged cheddar cheese, salt and black pepper, to taste.

I use an 8×8 inch glass Pyrex baking dish. Add milk, melted butter, corn starch in the baking dish and whisk together well. Add broccoli florets and stir gently to combine. Spread shredded cheddar cheese evenly across the top of casserole and cover with aluminum foil. Place in a hot 400 F oven and bake for 15 minutes, remove foil and bake 5 more minutes uncovered.

Serve and enjoy!
