This is a family favorite for breakfast, lunch or supper times!
Dust flour on your clean work surface. In a bowl add 1-1/4 cups Self-Rising Flour, 1- cup Buttermilk, 1/2 stick cold butter (cut into small bits), pinch of iodized salt. Do not over-mix ingredients, drop in bits of butter into the flour, and then fold in buttermilk. Place biscuit dough onto floured work surface and using wax paper of top gently roll out dough.
Using a biscuit cutter gently place on top (do not twist) remove quickly, transfer round biscuit using a spatula to a prepared baking sheet pan (it will make 12 biscuits). Place into a hot 400 F oven and bake 12-14 minutes until golden brown on top.
Allow biscuits to rest a few minutes, then serve. We just love them and they are so easy and delicious. Great with honey, jam-jelly, butter.
