Black Bean & Bacon~Cheese Dip

You can use black beans or white beans in this recipe, either work nicely. 1-1/2 cup black beans, 4 ounce weight softened cream cheese, 2 slices bacon (crispy) cut into bits, one teaspoon black pepper, add to a food processor and pulse several times and run until a fairly smooth texture. Transfer to a baking dish. Preheat oven 400 F. Add 3 tablespoons panko and 1/4 cup of your favorite cheese (I use Monterey Jack Cheese Grated) and cover the top evenly.

Place into the hot oven and bake 10-12 minutes.

Serve with pita chips or your favorite crackers!
