Perfect dip anytime! Use with pita chips, toasted bread strips, crackers. One white onion sliced finely, 1 tablespoon canola oil, 2 tablespoons butter, crumbled 4 ounces ground sausage, one half cup Pepper Jack Cheese shredded, one half cup smoked mozzarella (or regular mozzarella Cheese-shredded), one teaspoon cumin, one half teaspoon sage.
In a skillet add butter, oil on medium high heat add sliced onions and saute 12 minutes, add cumin, sage, crumbled ground sausage and cook until sausage is no longer pink, reduce heat to medium cook additional 10 minutes until onions are caramelized. Transfer to a prepared baking dish, spread both cheeses evenly across the top and place into a hot 400 F oven. Bake 10 minutes or until cheese is hot and bubbly.
Serve hot out of the oven. Delicious!
