Delicious Pan Grilled Toast that takes minutes to prepare! 2-4 slices of your favorite bread, one cup light cream, 1-1/2 teaspoons Pure Almond Extract, 1/2 teaspoon Pure Vanilla Extract (There are NO eggs in this recipe). You can substitute Almond Silk Milk if desired. I like the creaminess of using light cream in this recipe. Several tablespoons of sweet cream butter to coat grill or griddle pan to cook, plus to spread over cooked toast!, if desired.
In a shallow plate (like a pie plate) add cream, extracts, and whisk well. Soak both sides of your choice of bread slices and place on the grill/griddle pan to cook, once golden, flip to the other side and cook 2 minutes or until golden in color.
I usually add homemade whipped cream to these but you can of course use warm syrup or fresh fruit! They are light, fluffy golden and scrumptious breakfast fare.
Hope you enjoy them!

I would go ahead and add an egg with liquid mixture since breakfast needs protein. The almond milk has some small amount of protein. 🙂 I love French Toast anyway so adding almond or vanilla would be a good idea. ♡

Hey Robin, some of my recipe followers are allergic to eggs and this gives them a flavorful option, feel free to make actual French toast using beaten eggs and extracts! Either way is YUM! Hugs always to you! Cheryl xo

I think you should post the calories and cholesterol too. I really have to watch my cholesterol levels, even though I’m not overweight. I think it’s a genetic thing. 😦

Exactly-any recipe can be reduced in size instead of two slices one each might be acceptable with some fresh fruit Sylvia! When you and your lovely husband eat out what calorie/fats/additives are in those foods???

Oh yes, I know, and we often suffer because of all the added salt which restaurants put in their food. Restless nights often follow meals eaten out. 😕
