We love Fish Tacos and making them at home with the freshest ingredients are so much fun. I buy large flour tortillas and lightly warm them. I make many condiments to choose from, salsa, cheese of your choice, diced tomatoes, cubed/or sliced avocado, onions if desired, lettuce, arugula, cilantro, a lemon yogurt dressing. The options are open to exactly what you might enjoy in your fish Tacos.
I baked the halibut (usually several pieces) with butter, fresh lemon zest and juices, Old Bay Seasoning, 1 teaspoon Taco seasoning (I make that homemade), and bake @ 400 F for 6-8 minutes -until the Halibut just begins to flake. Remove from oven, allow to rest, cut into bite sized pieces on a clean work surface, load up the flour tortillas with your desired amount, add your favorite condiments, roll them or fold them and enjoy!
I usually will have Pico De Gallo available, fresh fruit salsa, lemon yogurt dressing. “Choices”, we love choices.
It is a fun Saturday lunch for us, it would make a nice week night meal or lunch option as well.
Hope you enjoy!
